Goodbye Blogspot

I'm no longer going to be using this blog - I've changed over to a shiny new wordpress blog!
Click here to head over to the new blog :)

With Leah Spicer Creative launching soon I’ve decided to combine everything into one super blog rather than have one each for it and Golden Apple Wedding Stationery, and as i’m going to be using it as a sort of personal blog too you can expect to see a big mixture of posts and topics wedding inspiration and fashion to design ideas, books and films, as well as things I love and what i’ve been up to.

I hope you enjoy reading it!

Tattoo love..

I had a new tattoo a couple of weeks ago...

It's the Black Rabbit of Inle from Watership Down, which was one of my favourite films (and books) as a child and holds a special nostalgic place in my heart.

I love where it is too, but i do kind of wish that I could see it!

I love...

Misty mornings...

(Image taken on my htc phone)

I walked into the city centre at 8.30am on Sunday and it was so beautiful and misty.

There is something really romantic about mornings like these, and I kept imagining Mr Darcy (matthew macfadyen, please) striding out of the mist towards me with his long coat billowing out behind him.

Mmmm.

Today I'm Wearing...

Today I am a comfy scruff, dressed in the comfiest pair of baggy vintage jeans that I own and my Morrissey T Shirt. The boots are vintage too, and I think they were from ebay.

I've made myself look really short in this illustration - oops!

Happy Tuesday!

Today i'm wearing....

I've gone bold and colourful today in a vibrant blue jersey dress from Asos, teamed with the comfiest soft leather brogues from Bronx, thick black tights and yet another boys cardigan (this time from Topman) all finished off with a slick of Models Own lipstick in Blackcurrant, which is a lovely bright berry colour.

Hope you're having a lovely Friday!

The Snowman

So maybe it is a bit early to be talking about Christmas, but one of my most favourite things ever (not just out of films, but out of everything!) is Raymond Briggs classic The Snowman.

I have watched the film every single Christmas for as long as I can remember.

I have a lovely memory of my Dad staying up late with me one Christmas eve when everyone else had gone to bed, just so that I could watch it. The year before last I even bought myself a copy of the DVD, just in case it wasnt on TV that year.

I just love everything about it - the way it's drawn, the soundtrack (and not just Walking in the Air, but all of it) and the way it makes me feel - nostalgic and happy.

My all time favourite possesion is a Snowman Music Box that my parents bought me for my 21st birthday, from 1987 (the year I was born) which I will treasure forever. It was such a lovely, thoughtful gift that I had tears in my eyes when I opened it.

One day I will have a snowman scarf of my very own...

I'll leave you with the flying scene, if it isn't too Christmassy for you....

I can't wait to watch it this Christmas :)
