Vintage Lace Design - Ideas & Inspiration!

Hello!

Today's blog post features some Vintage Wedding ideas and inspiration, to match our new Vintage Lace Wedding Invitation design.

The Invitation:
The invitation features soft pastel pinks with pretty floral lace backing and a vintage style floral illustration. Matching stationery such as place cards and favours are also available. Click here for more information on this design.










The Cake:
These Rose & Pearl cupcakes from Vintage & Cake are perfect for a pretty vintage wedding.
The cute "Love is Sweet" picks are available from Vintage Twee.
You can also hire beautiful vintage table wear from Vintage & Cake, for the perfect vintage flourish.










The Bride:
For a beautiful original vintage wedding dress, I recommend trawling Ebay and Vintage Fayres - I picked up a fabulous 1940's lace wedding dress from Ebay for only £45! If you don't have the time (or the patience!) to do this, you can also visit The Vintage Wedding Dress Company, who stock a unique collection of stunning original vintage wedding dresses.

Vintage accessories & shoes can also be found on Ebay, Etsy or at vintage fayres and in charity shops, however you can find a beautiful range of new Vintage style items at Liberty in Love.










The Bridesmaids:
I love this Silk flower embellished Phillip Lim dress from Net-a-Porter, which (although very pricey!) would look adorable with this handmade flower headband from Etsy and these pretty bow embellished ballet pumps from Schuh (I have a pair of these and they are super comfortable!)










The Flowers
I love gorgeous peonies and roses in soft pastel pinks, like these stunning bouquets from Fairy Nuff Flowers, who offer beautiful bespoke floral arrangements!

Save the Date cards are a fantastic way to announce that you are getting married, and to ensure that your guests have your wedding date in their diaries well in advance! This is especially helpful for weddings taking place during the summer and winter months as your guests are then able to take your wedding date into consideration when booking their holidays.



















Save the Date cards can be sent out from as early as 1 year before the wedding, up to around 6 months before. Your full invitations should be sent out around 3 to 4 months before the wedding date, by which time most of your other wedding details should be booked and confirmed.

Folded Hearts Wedding Invitation Design

This super cute miniature invitation (75mm square) features hand cut multi-coloured hearts, finished with rounded corners and a ribbon bow to hold the card together.

Vintage Style Wedding Banner!

I made this last night - sorry about the poor photography, but just had to get an image up to show you!



















This Vintage Style Wedding Banner features the names of the bride and groom in soft pastel colours and a vintage style font, and would look so cute attached to the front of the tot table or displayed in a focal point in your wedding venue.
