I had a new tattoo a couple of weeks ago...
It's the Black Rabbit of Inle from Watership Down, which was one of my favourite films (and books) as a child and holds a special nostalgic place in my heart.
I love where it is too, but i do kind of wish that I could see it!

I love...
Misty mornings...
(Image taken on my htc phone)
I walked into the city centre at 8.30am on Sunday and it was so beautiful and misty.
There is something really romantic about mornings like these, and I kept imagining Mr Darcy (matthew macfadyen, please) striding out of the mist towards me with his long coat billowing out behind him.
Mmmm.

Today I'm Wearing...
Today I am a comfy scruff, dressed in the comfiest pair of baggy vintage jeans that I own and my Morrissey T Shirt. The boots are vintage too, and I think they were from ebay.
I've made myself look really short in this illustration - oops!
Happy Tuesday!

Dance like nobody's watching.
Happy Saturday guys!
I'm just getting ready to go out for a friends engagement drinks tonight.
Feeling a bit sleepy after so much work, but this should perk me up...
Next time you're feeling shitty, dance like Christopher Walken in this video- look how much fun hes having!
You'll feel loads better, honest!

Today i'm wearing....
I've gone bold and colourful today in a vibrant blue jersey dress from Asos, teamed with the comfiest soft leather brogues from Bronx, thick black tights and yet another boys cardigan (this time from Topman) all finished off with a slick of Models Own lipstick in Blackcurrant, which is a lovely bright berry colour.
Hope you're having a lovely Friday!

The Snowman
So maybe it is a bit early to be talking about Christmas, but one of my most favourite things ever (not just out of films, but out of everything!) is Raymond Briggs classic The Snowman.
I have watched the film every single Christmas for as long as I can remember.
I have a lovely memory of my Dad staying up late with me one Christmas eve when everyone else had gone to bed, just so that I could watch it. The year before last I even bought myself a copy of the DVD, just in case it wasnt on TV that year.
I just love everything about it - the way it's drawn, the soundtrack (and not just Walking in the Air, but all of it) and the way it makes me feel - nostalgic and happy.
My all time favourite possesion is a Snowman Music Box that my parents bought me for my 21st birthday, from 1987 (the year I was born) which I will treasure forever. It was such a lovely, thoughtful gift that I had tears in my eyes when I opened it.
One day I will have a snowman scarf of my very own...
images: 1, 2, 3
I'll leave you with the flying scene, if it isn't too Christmassy for you....
I can't wait to watch it this Christmas :)

Today's happy was...
..dancing around the studio to this....
...and trying to sing along to the rappy bit at the end!
Fab Five Freddie told me everybody's fly
DJ's spinning I said my,
my Flash is fast, Flash is cool
Francois sais pas, Flashe no deux
And you don't stop, sure shot
Go out to the parking lot
And you get in your car and you drive real far
And you drive all night and then you see a light
And it comes right down and lands on the ground
And out comes a man from Mars
And you try to run but he's got a gun
And he shoots you dead and he eats your head
And then you're in the man from Mars
You go out at night, eatin' cars
You eat Cadillacs, Lincolns too
Mercuries and Subarus
And you don't stop, you keep on eatin' cars
Then, when there's no more cars
You go out at night and eat up bars where the people meet
Face to face, dance cheek to cheek
One to one, man to man
Dance toe to toe
Don't move too slow, 'cause the man from Mars
Is through with cars, he's eatin' bars
Yeah, wall to wall, door to door, hall to hall
He's gonna eat 'em all Rapture,
be pure Take a tour, through the sewer
Don't strain your brain, paint a train
You'll be singin' in the rain
I said don't stop, do punk rock
Well now you see what you wanna be
Just have your party on TV
'Cause the man from Mars won't eat up bars when the TV's on
And now he's gone back up to space
Where he won't have a hassle with the human race
And you hip-hop, and you don't stop
Just blast off, sure shot
'Cause the man from Mars stopped eatin' cars and eatin' bars
And now he only eats guitars, get up!

My A-Z of random crap...
So, i've totally copied this from Phoebe, but it was super fun so here is my A-Z of random facts and stuff about me... you should do the same!
ANORAK…Do you have a sad side?
I am a massive geek... as in star trek fan, book nerd, computer whizz.
BODY…What physical attribute would you most like to change?
I have a really fat arse. Some people like it and say it's a good thing (Leah, it's like J-Lo's!)
I strongly DISAGREE.
CELEBRITY…Which one would you most like to date and why?
Jason Statham... he's going out with Rosie Huntingdon Whitely though so I would have no chance in hell!
(P.S... Phoebe said Professor Brian Cox...i love him! I think he could get a bit annoying though as he would be right ALL the time)
DEBUT …Tell us about your first ever blog post. What made you start blogging?
My first ever post was a pretty boring "welcome to my blog" post. My second post was a selection of afternoon tea images from flickr. I started blogging to espress myself and put all of my ideas down in one place when i was starting up the business.
ERROR …What’s been your biggest regret?
Not enjoying myself when i was a teenager.
FUNNY – who’s making you laugh?
Tom Stade. Joe and I went to see him a few weeks ago and he was hilarious. Watch this.
GRAND…If we gave you one right now what would you spend it on?
A holiday to a nice little cottage somewhere. And some nice Christmas presents.
HOLIDAY… What’s your favourite destination?
I have never been anywhere apart from Paris when i was 17.. I am kind of scared of flying but if i could go anywhere it would be to Alaska to see the auroa borealis (northern lights)
IRRITATE… What’s your most annoying habit?
I'm a big moany whingebag, and I worry about/over analyse everything.
JOKER…Whats your favourite joke {the one that makes you laugh everytime you hear it}?
What's the difference between roast beef and pea soup?
Anyone can roast beef.
KENNEL… Do you have any pets?
Yes, my gorgeous little fur baby Scratch. Who just fell down the stairs trying to get to the front door to bark at the postman.
LOVE…Are you single, married, engaged, living with a long term partner?
Living with partner.. wanting to be married but not a chance in hell!
MEAL… Whats your ultimate starter, main and dessert?
Starter - Scallops
Main - Pork belly with braised red cabbage, dauiphinoise potatoes, spiced plums and a sticky sauce
Dessert - Creme Brulee.
Mmmmm.
NOW…If you could be anywhere right now where would you be and who with?
On holiday with my boys. Staying in a little cottage, going for walks, to the pub, cuddling on the sofa.
OFF DUTY…What do you do in your spare time?
Read, watch films and bake.
PROUD MOMENTS …What are you most proud of?
Quitting my job and going full time with Golden Apple. Scary stuff.
QUEASY …What turns your stomach?
Milk. I hate it.
RELAX…How do you relax?
I am very bad at relaxing.
SONG…What’s your favourite song of all time?
Rusted Root - Send Me On My Way.
TIME …If you could go back in time and relive it again, when would you choose?
Errm from my own life this is the best time so far. Any time ever it would be the 80's, just so that i could go and see The Smiths live.
UNKNOWN…Tell us something about yourself that no one else knows?
Errrm, I can't really think of anything! I already told you my trekkie secret...
VOCAL…. Who is your favourite artist?
The Smiths/Morrissey
WORK….. What is your dream job, and are you doing it now?
I don't think i have a dream job, nothing is perfect. This is close to my dream job as I can imagine, but it's still stressful sometimes!
XRAY…Any broken bones?
I broke my wrist at a rave at The Custard Factory in Birmingham two years ago... i went to the hospital an had a cast put on and then went straight back to the party! Even the DJs were signing my cast...
YIKES…What’s been your most embarrassing moment?
I can't think of one actually! I've said some really stupid things to Joe but i can't remember any of them so they can't be that bad!
ZOO…. If you were an animal, which one would you be?
I love foxes and wild rabbits but i wouldn't want to be one as they don't have the best lives. So i would like to be a sloth. The best laziest life ever.

Excitamundo.... it's the Leicester Wedding Club Cocktail party on Friday!
Woohoo, the third installation of The Leicester Wedding Club takes place on Friday!
As it's the last event of 2011 I have gone all out with this one by planning a glamorous cocktail party that will take place in a stunning venue, Hotel Maiyango, which boasts beautiful views over the rooftops of the city centre.
The event will take place from early evening until the wee hours, with fabulous entertainment from Adam Thomas and the Souljers, and goodie bags for the first 25 guests to arrive! (if you'd like to add something to goodie bags, let me know!)
The fabulous Lucy Stendall will be our photographer for the evening and the lovely ladies from Coco Angels will be supplying a scrumptious chocolate fountain!
What is the wedding club?
The Wedding Club events offer a chance for wedding businesses and professionals to get together and network, talk about ideas and problems, socialise and catch up!
The philosophy of the club is to remain relaxed and casual, to encourage a fun and friendly atmosphere as opposed to the normal stuffy and structured networking events. We like to think of them as more like social events rather than networking!

SPARKLY PINK SHOE CLIPS FOR BREAST CANCER CARE
These glittery pink shoe clips are a fab way of adding a bit of sparkle to any boring pair of shoes, as seen on myself and Ali Lovegrove at our Breast Cancer fundraising event last month!
I had such a lovely girly day with Ali, and now love her even more for being such a generous, incredible person! Her pink hair looks amazing and i'm so proud of her for raising so much money for the charity. Ali has written such an amazing blog post about our day that i'm not going to repeat it so click here to head on over to her blog and read all about it!
So, onto the shoe clips... here's how to get your hands on a pair...
All you have to do is head on over to Ali's Just Giving Fundraiser page and donate £4 to the cause, writing 'Glitter Shoe Clips' into the comments box! Then email your address to leah@goldenappledesigns.co.uk and i'll send your shoe clips over to you! Simples!
Until the 12th November the proceeds from every pair of shoe clips sold will go straight on over to Breast Cancer Care, so what are you waiting for? Click here to donate now :)
Lots of love!
