As you know, we've just moved house!
I'm decorating my office/the dining room in yellow and grey so have been on the search for lovely yellow accesories to brighten up the room.
Here are my favourite finds from the fabulous treasure chest that is Etsy...
It's bank holiday monday - yay! I hope you've all got a lovely day planned!
I'm feeling quite a lot better today, so hopefully I'm on the mend :) I've managed to catch up with my emails and have made sure that my 'To Do' list for the next week isn't too packed so that I'm not rushing back into work before i'm fully better. I'll be emailing you all shortly to let you know which day i'll be doing your work - thank you again for being patient and lovely!
I've been feeling so mardy whilst being off sick, but as i'm feeling better and am in a much better mood today, here are some things that make me smile which I hope will make you smile too! :)

As some of you may know I run a networking group called The Leicester Wedding Club, for wedding professionals to get together to chat, share ideas and catch up!
The first event was amazing! With over 50 wedding professionals in attendance over the course of the two hour event, the gorgeous bar and room at the City Rooms was full of the sound of chat and laughter as people came together to discuss their work and ideas over a cup of tea.
I had some wonderful feedback afterwards, and a great day was had by all!
The next event is set to take place next sunday (4th September) at Shearsby Bath, a beautiful venue set in the Leicestershire countryside. As well as some wonderful networking opportunites there will delicious treats from Can De Cween Cupcakery on offer and a fun photobooth from Darren Cresswell Photography.
You can find out more about the event and sign up to attend here. Everyone is welcome - the more the merrier!
For further info you can also visit the wedding club blog or become a fan on facebook.
I hope to meet lots of lovely new people at the next event, as well as catch up with some familiar faces :)
After announcing myself 'back' and ready to get on with some hard work and catch up with the huge backlog caused from moving house I've now found myself really poorly and feeling awful :(
I am so very sorry to anybody who is waiting for emails/work from me, but I feel so ill :(
I'm off to the docs later on and will try my best to reply to some emails but that's about the most I can manage i'm afraid - these are the perils of working alone, there's nobody to cover for you if you're unwell! Thank you for being patient my lovely colleagues/customers/friends ♥
I have been absent from twitter, facebook and blogland for about a week now, but it's ok, panic over - i'm back!
We moved house last week and it was the craziest most stressful few days ever. I'm not sure how but we managed to fit enough stuff into a teeny tiny one bedroom flat to pretty much fill a 3 bedroom house! But it's all good - we're in!
We don't have any tv service, phone line or internet yet (thank you amazing neighbours for giving me your wifi password - YOU ROCK!) and we have slept on the sofas for the past 3 nights as our bed won't go up the stairs but WE'RE IN!
Puppy face has a garden to play in, I have a studio (YES! A whole room just for me!) and the BF has a lovely new music room in the loft so... YAY!
I've been listening to this this morning, with the sun streaming in and a very happy puppy prancing around his new digs :) It has to be one of the happiest songs ever right?
There is still lots of unpacking to do and second coats of paint to be painted and furniture to be built and people to be notified but for now I must catch up with all of the emails that I have so poorly neglected over the past week of madness - so sorry everyone, thank you for your patience and there will be an email from me waiting in your inbox at some point today!!
I also need to blog about the amazing Love my Dress Summer Soiree, and to tell you all about the incredible Oh My Honey dress that I was sooo lucky to wear on the night, which I will definitely be doing at some point this week!
I had a couple of blog posts lined up for today, but after the events of last night it doesn't really feel appropriate. I stayed up until the early hours last night watching the events in London, Birmingham and other areas in disbelief, as well as following the tweets and facebook feeds of friends in those areas who were terrified by the events happening in their neighbourhoods.
There are some incredible pictures of the terrible events on this site, but the one that I think sums up the damage and gets to me the most is the image below - an 89 year old man assessing the damage that has been inflicted upon his hairdressing salon in Tottenham. It's heartbreaking to see somebodies lifes work destroyed - there won't have been anything worth stealing in this salon, so it was mindlessly trashed for no reason whatsoever and it's so sad.
I'm hoping that the people who created the facebook event for a riot in Leicester on Friday night (which has now been removed) won't go through with it as I don't want to see my lovely town destroyed.
My thoughts go out to everyone affected and to the families of the brave emergency services staff who are out on the streets keeping everyone safe. To all of my friends in London, Birmingham and any other areas affected - stay safe and lots of love.
If you're attending the Love my Dress Summer Soiree tomorrow and your business cards haven't arrived in time, then panic not, I can help!!
I'll be bringing along some packs of these 'Emergency Business Cards'. They are printed onto top quality 400gsm card which you fill in yourself with your details.
They are priced at £4 for a pack of 25 cards.
If you're interested in some cards then please email me on leah@goldenappledesigns.co.uk so that I can make sure that I bring along enough packs! I'll have a few spares with me just in case :)
